If you are looking for a more challenging and adventurous dive to do at Cozumel consider Barracuda Reef. This is an advanced dive that is very deep with crazy currents. Most dive operators don’t go here because its unstable and sometimes dangerous and is only good for experienced divers. However! If you are an experienced diver and like a challenge and can find someone to take you there this is a great spot to see some hardcore marine life, including hammerheads, black tips, eagle rays and barracuda. Because so few divers brave Barracuda Reef the coral here is virgin and unspoiled, making it one of the best dives in Cozumel.
Take care if planning to dive this site because several people have been lost and killed on Barracuda Reef.
