Eden is regarded as one of the most beautiful cenotes. The crystal clear water has aquatic plants and moss covered rocks that add to the garden of eden atmosphere of the site.
The major swimming area at Eden is not covered by a cavern, making it ideal for snorkelling and swimming. It also connects with caverns if you want to scuba dive.
Eden is perfect for swimming and snorkelling. It is a large site that can accommodate a lot of visitors without feeling crowded. There are lots of freshwater creatures to see, including mollies, tetras, slider turtles and platys. There are some underwater cave passages that you can free dive through that make your snorkel experience more interesting. Eden also has a super fun cliff jumping platform where you can fall 12 feet into the cenote. The water is a pleasant 25 degrees all year round.
Eden is also ideal for cavern divers. Along the main route the caverns are very large. You don’t have to feel claustrophobic if you are a beginning cave diver. There are also some smaller rooms off the main rooms if you want to explore a bit deeper. The underground system connects up with the next-door Coral Garden cenote. Lots of cavern divers come to this site that rent their own equipment and are not part of a tour. There are also cavern diving lessons conducted at this site.
Cenote Jardin Del Eden is very a family friendly cenote. There is lots of wooden decking There are life jacket and snorkelling rentals available at the site. Bathroom facilities are available.
