Cenote Nicte-Ha
Nicte-Ha is a hidden gem open air cenote that is off the beaten path and sees fewer tourists than other sites in the area, which means you might get it to yourself if you’re lucky. This is an especially stunning cenote because it is tucked away in lush jungle with crystal clear water. It features beautiful underwater plant life, lilipads and colourful freshwater fishies.
This is a good cenote for all ages because it’s easy to swim in, not that deep, and lifejackets are included with price of admission.
There is a cliff part where you can enjoy a 12 foot dive into this refreshing cenote.
Nicte-Ha is located in Dos Ojos park complex where there are several other cenotes. It’s possible to visit this cenote along with the others that are closeby for some convenient cenote hopping fun. There is no entrance fee to the Dos Ojos park. You can enter the park for free. Once inside the park, you must pay to enter each individual cenote you want to visit. The park has restaurants and an information booth.
There is a parking lot right next to Nicte-Ha. It is a very short walk from the parking area to the cenote. There are bathrooms and a shower and a stand with complimentary lifejackets.
